Gretchen, a kinship report for William on my software shows that: Your Alexander Baptie is the son-in-law of William and that Cecilia Dempster, my great aunt is the wife of the grandson, Robert. I have (at a later date) an Elizabeth Stevenson with a sister Jean who married into my Alexander Baptie family (Elizabeth Laing's second husband). Children, all born Inveresk p. were David 1778, Jean 1781, William 1783, Janet 1785, William 1788. I have exact birth dates, baptism dates and witnesses. There may have been a child named Pringle, as there is a death of a Pringle LAING in 1821 in Inveresk, (aged 32yrs) with father William LAING.
