I had not realised that Ancestry were using FreeBMD > information. It was in exchange for Ancestry part sponsoring FreeBMD's own site. It's that sponsorship deal that has convinced FreeBMD is a part of Ancestry. FreeBMD is part of FreeUK. The other projects are FreeREG for the parish registers and FreeCEN for the censuses. All three use a similar URL. The project name followed by .org.uk For me, FreeBMD beats the commercial sites hands down because I find it's a lot more flexible - oh, and it's free :)) -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Ashcott, Shapwick, Greinton and Clutton, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk
