    1. [MDX] Messrs. HANCOCK and SHEPHERD ( 1802 )
    2. From The Morning Post and Gazetteer ( London, England ), July 10, 1802; Issue 10535.  The very splendid desert service, the whole of cut glass, is about to be sent to Russia, from the Manufactory of Messrs. HANCOCK and SHEPHERD.  The service consists of six dozen plates, the same number of decanters, water-glasses, etc. of the most exquisite workmanship. The ice pails are wonderfully beautiful. The branched lights are about three feet in height, and equally deserving admiration.  The whole complete is said to be worth five thousand pounds.  The warehouse of Messrs. HANCOCK has been the morning lounge of the fashionables for many days; and the exhibition is certainly the most beautiful display of the combined exertions of taste, industry, and ingenuity ever before witnessed in this or any other country.
