In order to have been awarded the Burma Star, my great uncle would have had to have been awarded the 1939-45 Star, likewise the Atlantic Star /but/ if the final 6 months ended on 8 May 1945, the 1939-45 Star would not have been awarded. Only two medals were mentioned: the Atlantic and Burma Stars.
