Sophia JOHNSON was born around 1823 in Poplar but I have been unable to find a baptism for her. She married William David JOHNSON who was born 26 Dec 1818 in Deptford. I believe they may have been cousins. I found their marriage (5 June 1843, Limehouse) on Ancestry which gives her father as William, a shipwright. William David's father, John Plummer JOHNSON, was also given as a shipwright. Sophia's father seems to have been variously described as a ropemaker, a mariner and a fisherman, providing they are the same person.
