I have had another email from the Montreal Archives and although I sent a message in English at 7.41 am this morning the reply came back also 7.41 am so they were quicker than lightning but the reply was as follows in French. The Bapt. certificate I'm after has been ready since Christmas Eve (advice sent in English ) and allowing for the holidays I have phoned several times get a long French message (recorded I think) with press 9 for English then press 2 for the Dept I need. I get long and short beeps and the phone goes dead. I'm sorry I have to keep asking for help I should have taken more notice when they tried to teach me French way back in the 1940's.
