    3. I joined a few years ago but was so irritated that I complained and my subscription was returned in full. I joined again nearly a year ago and it is the same old story I'm afraid. I repeatedly ask a friend of mine to do look-ups via Ancestry for me! They hve really gone downhuill since introducing their 'new, improved' search engine, which justs irritates everyone who tries to use it. Their recent 'free weekend' also angered people, who discovered first hand how clumsy it is to seatrch - and also how diffificult to escepae their 'auto-renew' ploy, if you manage to give them your card details. If you don't want to renew, you must actually cancel, and ahead of time, not just 'not renew', since they grab your money anyway. They bough oOrigins some time back, and are presumably now just phasing out the name. > > Regards, > > Dene > > -----Original Message----- > From: Janice12 via > Sent: Wednesday, March 11, 2015 12:36 PM > To: 'Barbara Gray' ; 'Middlesex' > Subject: Re: [MDX] FindMyPast > > I canŽt say about it as it was years since I really did any searches on FMP > which I had to pay as I either wasnŽt doing research or used Ancestry or was > lucky enough to get it either free or someone else had found some info for > me > I must say their search part is awful & wonŽt ever renew with them again > Regards Janice > > From: Barbara Gray [mailto:barbarajgray8@gmail.com] > Sent: 10 March 2015 18:27 > To: Janice12; Middlesex > Subject: Re: [MDX] FindMyPast > > The new beta version is slightly less worse, but not a lot.
