    3. Can someone refresh my memory as to the abbreviations used in Burial entries in parish registers in the 1700s. I have a Peter Le Fort buried 22 October 1708 at St James Piccadilly – beside his name is an “M”. Does this stand for “Man”? and I’m assuming that “W” stands for Woman? The transcription gives Peter’s age as “0” but I have a feeling that he was not an infant, as all the child burials seem to have “C” beside them? Jeanette
