Hi Jeanette Yes, the abbreviations in the Westminster registers at this date are M = Man, W = Woman, C = Child. In the transcription, the 0 in the age field looks like a default value that has been inserted when no age is entered. It's in many other records too (but clearly shouldn't be!). I have a Peter Le Fort buried 22 October 1708 at St James Piccadilly – beside his name is an “M”. Does this stand for “Man”? and I’m assuming that “W” stands for Woman? The transcription gives Peter’s age as “0” but I have a feeling that he was not an infant, as all the child burials seem to have “C” beside them? Jeanette
