Charge for copies of censu which is all they actually have is 10 cents US. In over 40 years I have gone to just about every genealogy site there is looking, I didn't just decide t do this and say "Help"....I have used LDS for more than 20 years but neither site has got me any closer than knowing where my ancestors were thru census records. The nearest LDS is a 30 mile trip one way, so I do not go too often anymore. I have been able to get certificates of birth, death and marriage thru them cheaper tho then sending to state archives. Most records still not found on many relatives- such as grandparents marriage, since license were not required, and not knowing whre the bride lived when they married, only where she lived when a widow...and the church records moved somewhere adn unfound tho I have checked 6 possibilities. My grandparents are only shown on one census and the info must have been given by a friend/neighbor as one of the names is wrong and looks like grandpa had two wives...one being his step daughter.....They are NOT in any other census! Grandmother died in 1914, grandfather in 1926 and not in 1920 census at all, and neither is my Father in 1920 or 1930, and I doubt in 1940 there will be a listing for him or my Mother and I. What I am trying to find i a relation to my great grandparents being a nephew or cousin, who would possibly have family info/lore about the Carmody family in Ireland before they moved to Middlesex in late1860's. It is clutching at a straw, I know. I have about exhausted Irish sites where they possibly came from in Cork. Thanks anyway. > > There were problems with access via the LDS but I think that's been > sorted out now.
