I am sorry to ask this question on this list again, but I am again having trouble tracing parishes to Registration Districts. I have used http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bpefisk/fh/Middx/ to try to answer my questions but am not sure of the answers. Can some kind person help please? Which Reg District would Bayswater have come under in about 1845-1854? And what about Notting Hill in the same period? I assume that Vincent Square, Westminster would have come under Westminster but would also like confirmation. Thanks in advance Lawrence

You're not the only one! www.genuki.org.uk is always where I start ... > Which Reg District would Bayswater have come under in about 1845-1854? The page you reference has Bayswater parish created out of Paddington (St James) in 1858. So, back to Paddington - www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/paddington.html. Paddington registration district was created out of Kensington in 1895. So, Kensington - www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/kensington.html. Kensington district included the parish of Paddington (and was in MDX) 1837-1889. In 1889 it became LND, and Paddington became its own district in 1895, as above. Also, Genuki has - BAYSWATER, originally a hamlet in the parish of Paddington. So in 1845-1854 Bayswater was in Paddington, in the Registration district of Kensington ... phew. And this is where Bayswater is - http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=525500&Y=180500&A=Y&Z=120 - between the two. I'll leave Notting Hill for you HTH - Dave. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lawrence Pearse" <lawrencepearse@msn.com> To: <middlesex_county_uk@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2010 5:01 PM Subject: [MDX] Middlesex Parishes > > I am sorry to ask this question on this list again, but I am again having > trouble tracing parishes to Registration Districts.
