    3. Hi Dianne, http://gazette.slv.vic.gov.au/images/1842/N/general/39.pdf lists him as having received his ticket of leave in 1842. He was living in Parramatta...I just googled his name and got this link. A great website is http://www.claimaconvict.net/ . He does not appear on the list of "claimed" convicts, which presumably means that no-one else has researched him, but you can add him to the list. It is a very informative site about the convict system and how to research convicts. The associated Rootsweb mailing list is also very helpful and knowledgeable. Jan South Australia >From there he travelled to New South Wales on the ship "Earl Grey" surviving the journey and arriving there in New South Wales in 1838. Where please, do I look to find out what happened to him? Any help gratefully accepted! Dianne.
