Not such an unusual occurrence as it might seem. One was a foster child who was mistakenly given the family's surname. The second son was mistakenly given the same name as his older sibling. One was a nephew but given as a son by mistake. There could be any number of other reasons that there's no way of knowing now. > So thoughts on this would be appreciated, I did find 2 births one in > Pancras for an Arthur & another in Hackney for a Joseph Have you followed these up to see if either might be one of the brothers or related in some way? I've not looked at the 1911 census as it may be in contravention of the T+Cs covering it. -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Greinton and Clutton, SOM Asst OPC for Ashcott and Shapwick, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk http://www.savethegurkhas.co.uk/ ************************************** Send your List messages using **PLAIN TEXT** and always **TRIM AWAY** superfluous old messages in replies.
