Hello Jan, thanks for your email. Yes, I have tried to follow all members of the family including the Daughters and their children and grandchildren. I have also tried to find living descendants but have run into dead ends on all of them. "James Robert" married and had two children. The son married and had 2 daughters, both now deceased. Their children are alive but it has been impossible to find contact addresses. "John Russell" and "Stewart Scott" never married so no offspring. "Margaret Catherine" married John DeWatteville, had 3 children. Kenneth died in WW2, tracing the 2 daughters has proved frustrating "Charlotte" married Walter Letts, had a son John Letts b. 1898, but I have been unable to trace him any further. "Amy Christina" married William Harrington, had a son Philip, (killed in WW2 - unmarried) and a daughter Amy Dulcibel. b. 1901, who disappears from all records after the 1911 Census when she is aged 10 and living with her parents at 34 Castle Hill, Glostershire.. I can find no other references to her after that. Living descendants tend to be hard to trace and finding their addresses is an invasion of privacy. It is possible to obtain addresses via a particular company who somehow finds out 'silent" numbers and addresses in phone books but I am loath to use them. There are certainly family links somewhere but, as the girls marry, surname changes occur and tracing offspring is difficult. I am sure that there are families who hold old photos but finding those families is very difficult in this age of "identity theft". Everyone is, justifiably, very wary of anyone asking for photographs and claiming they may be related. I would be wary myself. I will persevere but I am running out of leads or options. That's why I have contacted this List - you all have an interest in Middlesex and its people. If any of you has a bright idea I'd love to hear about it.
