" Hunt is on for the family of soldier killed during Battle of the Somme after historians uncover vintage photos" Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341515/Hunt-family-soldier-killed-Battle-Somme.html#ixzz19Gcj6qxx It may be fairly simple Genealogical exercise to find current living relatives for poor Edward Coulton Wolstencraft who was born in Edmonton in 1891 (FreeBMD) The family are listed in the 1911 census, and include an Ellen Marsh (1889), Annie (1896), Charles (1900), Harold Victor (1901), Elsie (1894), Ivy Lillian (1907), Thomas Albert (1908), and George Howard (1911). Edward Coulton by 1911 would have been 20 is not listed in the census so may well have been in the regular army by then. At least one of his brothers survived till 1975 and died at Enfield district. Enfield Local History Library may well have records of this family within their local street directories and electoral rolls. The ironic thing is that the CWGC record for him, which is also included in one readers comment on the article, has Edward's parent's address the same as my Great Grandfather's, John LEE in 1916 (no relation to the Wolstencrofts though). cheers Bob in Brisbane
