    3. > Out of interest, do these addresses mean anything to others - The Curtain, Christopher's Alley, Horseshoe Alley? Rose& Crown Court I can understand. Horseshoe/Horse Shoe Alley was a turning off of Middlesex Street in Shoreditch, just south of New Goulston Street which still exists. Middlesex Street was also (and is still known) as Petticoat Lane. 3. I think you'll find this Horse Shoe Alley (off Middlesex Street) was not in Shoreditch but in Whitechapel. Another possibility is the Horse Shoe Alley running east off Wilson Street, towards Long Alley, which was in Shoreditch. 3. Curtain Road (from memory) runs east-west just north of the Thames - ends south of Mile End tube station. (It still existed in the 1990's, so it should be findable). -----Original Message----- From: middlesex_county_uk-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:middlesex_county_uk-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Paula Patterson Sent: 08 December 2010 00:22 To: middlesex_county_uk@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDX] A WINTER Tale > Out of interest, do these addresses mean anything to others - The Curtain, Christopher's Alley, Horseshoe Alley?
