Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Iva Bradley, Mrs. Ethel Taylor, and Mrs. Lillian Lee, all of Rockford; Mrs, Zelma Cooper of Sault Ste Marie; and five sons, Floyd of Cloverdale, Arthur of Greenville, Ernest of Charlotte, Leonard of Grand Rapids, and Harland of Rockford; twenty-one grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Hubbard Funeral Home, with burial in Rockford Cemetery. OBITUARY- Edward Cavanaugh, 77, passed away at his home. He is survived by nine children, four daughters and five sons, Mrs. Iva Bradley, Mrs. Ethel Taylor, and Mrs. William Lee, all of Rockford; Mrs, Zelma Cooper of Sault Ste Marie; and five sons, Floyd of Cloverdale, Arthur of Greenville, Ernest of Charlotte, Leonard of Grand Rapids, and Harland of Rockford; and one brother of Kalamazoo. Mr. Cavanaugh was removed to the Ezekial Hubbard Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00. Interment in Rockford Cemetery. Cavanaugh, aged 85, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2004. He was a farmer at heart: but to make ends meet, he drove a truck for Michigan Milk Producers and later worked for Kroger for 25 years-then he once again returned to farming an worked for many neighborhood farmers. He loved his John Deere tractor and his Dodge pickup, and always thought if something was broke, he could fix it. Along with his wife, Gerry, he loved to fish, especially for walleye. Mr. Cavanaugh's granddaughter thought that her grandpa wa the wisest man she knew. He is survived by his wife, Gerry; his children, Sharon and Howard Ramsey of Casnovia, Patti and Mark Buikema of Grand Haven, Dale and Kathy Cavanaugh of Pierson, Jim and Karol of Ragan, NE, and Cindi and Ben Downer of Lakeview; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren plus the much anticipated arrival of one more; mother-in-law, Mrs. Martha Bronkema of Lamont; in-laws, Bud and Phyllis Bronkema of Lovell, WY, Ginny and Jay Veldman of Coopersville, Norma and Bob Rasmussen of Natchez, WA, Doris Holman and Ken of Casnovia, Betty and Gene Stark of Hart, Mrs. Joyce Sweers of Lamont, Butch and Sandy Bronkema of Pensacola, FL, Barb and John Glass of Allendale; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorthy in 1951; a granddaughter, Kozan Cavanaugh; parents, Arthur and Alma Cavanaugh; and brothers, Gaylord and Keith. The services for Mr. Cavanaugh will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Rockford Reformed Church with the Rev. Rick Tigchon officiating. Interment in Courtland Twp. Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids. Sr. in 1970. Mrs Montgomery is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Willis R. and Winifred Montgomery Jr. of East Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, Betsy Montgomery of East Lansing, Margo and her husband David Perry of Saline, Julia and her husband Kevin Murphy of Kentwood; five great grandchildren, Maran, Lisa, Kate, Kyle, and Shannon; and a dear brother-in-law and his wife, Lloyd and Peg Montgomery of East Lansing. She was bon in Quimby, Mi, and graduated from Hasting High School and Davenport Business College. She joined St. Mark's Episcopal Church in 1915 and was a live long member. During the first World War she was recognized for her work with the American Red Cross. She was a long time member of the Babies Welfare Build, the Women's City Club, and the Cascade Hills Country Club. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 29th. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. H, Brown died Tuesday, April 1. He was born in Sheboygan Wis., in 1840 and after living a number of years in Wisconsin and Illinois, moved to Canada, Where in 1869 he was married t Miss Sarah Munger. In 1882 he moved with his family to Dakota and from there to California. Mr. Brown had been a resident of Saugatuck for about nine years, during which time he won the friendship and respect of all. In 1861 he enlisted in the 39th Illinois inf.. and served throughout the entire war, giving like so many another, not only the best years of his life, but his health during the remaining years, to his country. He leaves a wife, two daughters at home, and a son in California to morn their loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bready at the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. She as born on October 10, 1914 to the late Ernest and Iva (Cavanaugh) Bradley in Algoma Township, Michigan. She graduated from Rockford High School in Rockford, MI. Myrtle married Harold (Jim) Finch in 1935 in Indiana. She was a long time employee of Keeler Brass of Cedar Springs. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going out to the Fin and Feather Club, and spending time with family. Myrtle is survived by: 1 son: Bruce (Nita) Finch, of Freesoil, 3 granddaughters: Vickie (Ron) Trombley of Branch, Julie (Rich) Harmon of Manton, Wendy (Dan) Tietz of Rothbury, 8 Great Grandchildren, 1 sister: Edith Stone of Rockford, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold (Jim) Finch, and one sister Alfreda Gross. Funeral services for Myrtle Finch will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday August 17, at Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Ludington, with Reverend Joe Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till time of service. Burial will be at Bachellor Cemetery in Sheridan Township. Memorial contribution in Myrtle's name may be directed to Hospice of Michigan. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Ludington. He retired from Brighton Presbyterian in Michigan and finally moved to Breton Woods Retirement Home in Grand Rapids. Survivors include his wife, two sons and their wives, and seven grandchildren. Memorial Services will be on Saturday morning at the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. Visitation will be on Friday at the Ofield Funeral Home, Kentwood.
