Information courtesy of Sharon Warner, Homer Index. Lucinda Kay Compton, 11, of Angola, Indiana, died Monday, October 11, 1999, at the University of Michigan Mott's Children's Hospital. Lucinda was born August 1, 1988, in Albion, to Tracy and Vickie (Fletcher) Compton. They survive, in Kentucky and Angola, respectively. Lucinda attended Prairie Heights School in Angola. She enjoyed swimming, flashlight tag and roller skating. She attended Harrington School in Albion before moving to Indiana. She also loved attending Apostolic Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, survivors include a stepfather, David W. Brown of Angola; two sisters, Cora Fletcher of Albion and Samantha Compton of Angola; one brother, Johnny Kendrick of Angola; one stepbrother, Larry Brown of Jackson; grandparents Murlene Fletcher of Angola, Charles Fletcher of Battle Creek and Linda Compton and Ed and Joan Brown, all of Albion; a nephew, Anthony Fletcher of Albion; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Millis Perkins of Homer. Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, at the Albion Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. Abe Prater officiating. Burial was in Albion Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
