John was born January 29, 1928 in Battle Creek, the son of Felix and Stella (Kokoszko) Kwiatkowski. He was a lifelong resident of the Battle Creek area. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. John worked as a Brake man/Conductor for 30 years with Grand Trunk Railroad. He was a member of P.N.A. (Polish National Alliance) #2416. He was a very giving person and loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. John was previously married to Mary Lou Davis for 27 years before separating, but remained friends. Surviving are one son, Mark (Marta) Kwiatkowski of Augusta, MI; two daughters, Dawn (Tim) Crandall of Scotts, MI, Nancy (Ronald) Reed of Schoolcraft, MI; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Stephanie Wilson and Jenny Miller both of Battle Creek. John was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard (twin brother) and Stanley; a granddaughter, Dara Kwiatkowski; a sister, Mary. Funeral services! will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Robert E. Cosby officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
