Battle Creek Lyle Aldrich, owner of L A Trucking, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born February 6, 1950 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Wesley and Wauneta (Shoup) Aldrich. He was a graduate of Harper Creek High School and Kellogg Community College, and attended Michigan State University. Lyle married Rose (Kisinger) and together they had three beautiful girls. Surviving are his daughters: Nicole (Brent) Slayton of Battle Creek, Michelle (Matt White) Aldrich of Savannah, GA and Christy Aldrich of Battle Creek; two sisters: Eileen (Stephen) Nelson of Indianapolis, IN, Winifred (David) Mackaluso of Vicksburg and one brother, Dale Aldrich of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter. Lyle was a farmer for many years before starting L A Trucking in 1982. Since that time, L A Trucking has grown into a very successful business, beautifying homes and businesses in Battle Creek. Lyle had a gre! at impact on so many lives. He spent his life helping people and donating time and money to help various causes. Lyle enjoyed boating, car shows and spending time with his daughters. He was a great man who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Family Altar Chapel with Rev. David Mackaluso and Rev. Stephen Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Newbre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Binder Park Zoo Lyle Aldrich Memorial Fund.
