Her daughters were at her side. Rose Anne was born February 20, 1922 in Battle Creek, MI, to the late Otto and Adrianna Westrick. Rose Anne graduated from St. Philip High School in Battle Creek, in 1940. Following high school she attended comptometer training and began employment in the accounting department of General Foods Post Cereals. Rose Anne later transferred to General Foods' carton and container accounting department. Rose Anne enjoyed the wonderful people she worked with at General Foods and stayed close to many of them during her retirement. Mrs. Davis retired from General Foods in 1983 after 43 years of service. On December 22, 1951, Rose Anne was united in marriage to Jack J. Davis of Charlotte, MI. Mr. Davis preceded her in death on February 23, 2002. Rose Anne and Jack were best friends throughout their 50- year marriage. They truly cherished each other. During Jack's final years, Rose Ann! e provided steadfast exceptional care and attention to her beloved husband. Rose Anne cared for Jack with great love and compassion, staying at her husband's side throughout his lengthy illness. Her selfless caregiving was a great testament to her strength and devotion and the warm and loving relationship that she shared with her husband. Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek where she taught CCD classes when her children were young. Rose Anne loved people and found the best in everyone. Family meant everything to Rose Anne. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Rose Anne always went out of her way to be there for others in their times of tribulation; always thinking of and taking care of others. She was greatly loved for her cheerful nature and gentle, sweet spirit. She was a very sweet lady who will be remembered by everyone for her thoughtfulness, generosity, quick wit, unforgettable smile and love for life. ! Rose Ann accepted God's plan for her life. She was always a model of s trength and courage and never complained. Rose Anne was truly a joy and a blessing to everyone who knew her. Rose Anne is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children, Nancy (Kevin) Tuckey of Jackson, MI and Jackie Anne Davis of Oak Park, CA with whom Rose Anne lived during the past several years. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kelley (Jeff) Carpenter of Ashburn,VA and Erin Tuckey of Kalamazoo, MI; a sister, Katherine Archer of Charlotte, MI and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. In addition to her husband and parents, Rose Anne was preceded in death by siblings, Jake Westrick, Gertrude Schmitt, Ray Westrick, Laverne Westrick, Leo Westrick, Marie Berry, Irene Carron, and Helen Mathias. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home Funeral Home in Battle Creek , where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 AM Saturday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Battle Cr! eek with the Rev. Fr. Charles H. Fischer, officiating. Interment following mass will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek. Memorials may be directed to the St. Philip Father Fitzgerald Endowment Fund or the American Lung Association.
