I'm going to guess this is a different Joshua and Elizabeth, and the previous post had Joshua as b. 1802, d. 1866. However, they could somehow be related to other Reeds in Calhoun County. One family of Reeds, Asa and Fidelia (Gay) Reed settled in Sheridan Township. See information about this family at http://www.rootsweb.com/~micalhou/cemetery/reed_cemetery.htm Another family, Sylvanus and Polly (Wells) Reed settled in Burlington Township. Sylvanus was the son of John and Abigail (Chamberlain) Reed. Note John and Abigail also had a son named Joshua, but he died 1840 in Bristol, Ontario Co., NY. His will names children John, Joseph, Leonard, William Augustus, Phebe Pialey, Laura Ann Smith and Myron but not a wife. Sylvanus came to Michigan in the 1830's from Canandaigua NY.
