East Leroy, MI Died Monday evening, November 1, 2004. Ann was born on November 20, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of Aden Dale and Frances Lucille (Pierce) Betz. She was married to Clare Van Middlesworth, who survives her. Ann enjoyed cooking, gardening and knitting. She also liked music and especially enjoyed playing the saxophone, piano and organ. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and devoted herself to raising her sons and providing a happy home. Ann was always ready to help others. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father and 2 sisters. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Steven (Cheryl) Van Middlesworth of E. Leroy, Robert (Rhonda) Van Middlesworth of E. Leroy, and Michael (Maria) Van Middlesworth of Canton, MI; grandchildren, Eric, Evan, Tyler, Megan, Thomas and Victoria Van Middlesworth; mother, Frances Lucille Betz of Climax; brother, Charles (Carol Ann) Betz of Climax; nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11! :00 a.m. Saturday at the Climax United Methodist Church, 133 E. Maple St. with The Rev. Dave Knapp officiating. Friends may call on the family 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple.
