    1. Info about Albion's Rev. Grover Cleveland 1886-1967.

He was an ordained Baptist Minister who married many persons during his career. He was employed at our local U.S. Post Office as Assistant Postmaster and other duties through the years. He married Orpha A. Sine on June 20, 1906. He graduated from Albion High School in 1904. He was bon near Burlington on January 3, 1886, the son of William A. and Mary (Pullman) Cleveland. Grover began working at the U.S. Post office here on January1, 1906 until April 1, 1917 when he entered the Baptist ministry. He served as minister in churches in Springport, Napoleon, Parma, Cook's Prairie and Brooklyn. He also werved as manager of the Kroger grocery, and the National Tea grocery in Albion. In november 1933 Grover returned to the PO and retired January 31, 1956, where he was employed in many duties. He "died Thursday" at the Cedar Knoll Rest Home in Grass Lake (Jackson Co.) age of 81, where he had beena patient since June 27, ! 1966. The obituary was published on September 8, 1967 in the Albion Evening Recorder. His obit stated that he was survived by his wife Orpha, 4 daughters: Mrs. John (Ruth) Graham of Clark Lake, Mrs. Robert (Kathryn) Wilson, and Mrs. Howard (Ardith) Messick, of Albion, and Mrs. Roy (Helen) Steeby of Homer; 4 sons, Everett Cleveland of Lansing, Lt. Col. Robert Cleveland, retire do Venice FLA, John Cleveland of Arvada, CO, and Leonard Cleveland of CHicago, 37 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
