Mrs. Marion Virginia Westworth, 72, widow of the Elder William A. Westworth, who was pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist tabernacle for three years between 1913 and 1917, died in the home of Mrs. John Sanborn, 134 East Willard avenue, at 10:05 p. m. Saturday after an illness of several years. Mrs. Westworth was born Feb. 19, 1867 in Buffalo, N. Y., the daughter of Henry and Helen (Letts) Backus. In March 1890 she married Elder Westworth, who was then new in the ministry. They spent about three years in missionary work in China after their marriage. A son, Paul Lane Westworth was born to them in 1894, and in 1899, a baby daughter, Ruth Morill Westworth, was adopted. Following this were many years of faithful devotion to each other in an united family. >From Battle Creek, in 1917, they moved to Holly, where Elder Westworth presided as president of the Eastern Michigan Adventist conference. Elder Westworth died Nov. 1, 1938, In the Wabash Valley sanitarium, where they both had gone for medical care. For the last year, Mrs. Westworth has been cared for in the home of Mrs. Sanborn. Surviving are the son. Paul, of Battle Creek; six grandchildren, Mrs. Eugene Doane of Battle Creek, Fay Westworth of Flint, Mrs. Leland Hazzard of Marshalltown, Ia ., and Robert, Donald and Grace Westworth of Battle Creek, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hebble chapel at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday with Elder U. Bender in charge. Burial wi11 be in Lafayette, Ind. Without knowing more information, it would be hard to find more. Probably need to go through each paper. Good luck with your search.
