She was born April 1, 1916 in Hillsdale, MI the daughter of M. BURR and Anna (BACH) MARSH. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1934 and Hillsdale College in 1950. She is a retired elementary school teacher from Pittsford and Jonesville Schools. She attended Christ United Methodist Church in Battle Creek, MI; St. Johns Methodist Church in Fort Mill, S.C.; and Bankers Baptist Church in Bankers, MI. She was a member of Phi Beta Phi Sorority; a past violinist with the Hillsdale College Symphony; her hobbies were creative writing and poetry. In May, 1956 she married Louis GASPER, who preceded her in death in 1991. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. James (Anne) BENSON of Battle Creek, and Sue FLETCHER of Richmond, MI; sisters, Mrs. Lowell (Jean) GREEN of Hillsdale, MI; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daugh! ter, Kay RAY, and one son, Nelson ELLIOTT. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 1 PM at Bankers Baptist Church in Bankers, MI, Rev. D. Hubert Lowes and Rev. Harvey Thomas. Interment Bankers Cemetery in Bankers, MI. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Monday at the VanHorn-Eagle funeral Home, Hillsdale, MI.
