Gary was born on April 21, 1940 in Battle Creek, the son of Lyle H. and Mildred (Bivens) Pulver. He had been a resident of the Battle Creek area since 1967, coming from Ohio. He was a 1958 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Kellogg Community College. He was employed with II Stanley as a Parts Manager for 11 years until retirement. Gary enjoyed golfing, traveling and U of M football. On November 23, 1960, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia A. Sexton, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Greg Pulver of Battle Creek, Mike (Becky) Pulver of Battle Creek and Chris Pulver of Sturgis; three grandchildren; a brother, Doug (Debbie) Pulver of Avoca, MI; a sister, Susan (Mike) Schonemaker of Dexter, MI. He was preceded in death by a step- father, Vernon Stuck. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home,! 703 Capital Ave., SW, Battle Creek . Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Rd.
