Dimondale, MI Formerly of Albion Age 87, died June 1, 2004. He was born April 26, 1917 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of Orion and Mattie (Olney) Maurer. He married Juanita Swan June 20, 1942 in Homer, MI. Arnold was the Manager of the Sinclair Station in Homer for 3 years, also worked at Kellogg's in Battle Creek for 5 years, then Union Steel in Albion for 39 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Teamsters, also the Albion Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed repairing TVs & lawn mowers. He lived in Litchfield and the Albion area for over 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Juanita Maurer of Dimondale; 2 sons, Bruce (Brenda) Maurer of Charlotte, Alvin (Kathie) Maurer of Portage; 2 daughters, Judith (Dale) Hoyt of Wolcottville, IN, Rita (Art) Maurer of Kendallville, IN; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children; 2 brothers, Russell (Virginia) Maurer of Harrison, MT, Norman (Ella) Maurer of Marshall. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernita Martin, Jean Doerr and Joyce Gridley; tw! o brothers, Roy Maurer and Lyle Maurer. Funeral Services Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Albion Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Albion, MI, Elder Rich Bertchinger officiating. Interment Albion Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, June 5, 2004 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Albion Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
