He was born October 05, 1945 in Wildwood, GA., the son of Charlie Leonard Hayes and Mary Elizabeth (Pettyjohn) Hayes. He was an area realtor since 1988 and also a delivery driver for the past two years. Eddy is survived by sons, Michael Hayes of Fayetteville, NC and Chad Hayes of Battle Creek, MI; daughters, Michelle (Eric) Herr of Ft. Bragg, NC, Tricia Hayes of Ann Arbor, MI and Courtney Hayes of Battle Creek, MI; sisters, Fran Graves, Ruth Hayes, Sue Dobbs and Sheila Opalla; brothers, Sonny Hayes, Carl Hayes, J.T. Hayes, Tom Hayes, Don Hayes, Jon Hayes and Jerry Hayes; first wife, Linda Sykes; second wife, Patricia Hayes; good friend, Gary Beckwith; grandchildren, Taylor Herr, Tarrin Herr, Chuck Herr, Brenden Hayes and Jadin Hayes-Rodriquez; He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Faye Newman. He enjoyed golf, fishing and loved history. He attended First Wesl! eyan Church. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Thursday, March 15, 2007, 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2007, 1:30 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Dr. Philip Griffin of First Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Life Raft Group.
