Calhoun County Genealogists to Meet Tuesday The Calhoun County Genealogical Society is pleased to announce this month's presentation. James N. Jackson of Battle Creek will be the guest speaker for the Tuesday, March 27th meeting. The title of his presentation is "Putting it all Together." The meeting will take place 7:00 p.m. at the Gifford Schultz Education Service Center - Calhoun Intermediate School District (CISD). The facility is located at 17111 G Drive So., Marshall. Mr. Jackson has served as president of the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research Inc. and president of the Oakland County Genealogical Society. He has been the index editor of the SDGR Magazine since 1994. In 2006, he received the Lucy Mary Kellogg Award for his contributions to preservation and education of genealogy and history. He has had numerous articles published, and has taught genealogical classes and presented talks to various local societies including the Michigan Genealogical Conference.
