She was born May 1, 1906 in Battle Creek to John E. and Nellie M. (BACON) PARRY. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1923, and attended the Battle Creek College School of Home Economics and took a refresher course at Michigan State College. She worked in Kalamazoo at the Columbia Hotel and for a CPA, retiring in 1968. She taught Red Cross Nutrition Courses during WW II. She was a member of First Congregational Church, and its Mary Chilton Circle and Women's Social Club. She enjoyed bridge and did extensive volunteer work with the churches in Richland, Battle Creek and Mt. Clemens, receiving a pin for 10 years of service at the Detroit Chapter of the American Red Cross in Mt. Clemens. She married Clinton A. VANNOTY ON May 1, 1926 IN Kalamazoo. After her marriage they lived in Battle Creek, Richland, and Mt. Clemens, returning t! o Battle Creek in 1978 upon her husband's retirement to be near her family. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Alice H. TRAYER of Richland; 3 grandchildren; Michael TRAYER of Jackson, Janet WILCOX and Kevin TRAYER of Richland; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph PARRY and two sisters, Marion PARRY FRANCISCO and Alice PARRY. Friends may call Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time at Shaw Funeral Home 2838 Capital Ave., S.W. (next to Bill Knapp's) Battle Creek. Services 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Rev.
