Not sure about availability of the first book but you can ask. Here's what Carver's first book says about Laura in his discussion about what has been at 106 East Michigan Avenue. About 1863 Sidney A. Baldwin located a drug store on lot 13 and changed to a grocery store by 1865. In 1872 J. H. Bauer was located here next to Vogt. Barber Louis Jully was located here from 1873 to 1881, Laura Fuller Hair Goods in 1883,Karstaedt Saloon in 1884, William Bohanna Feed Store from 1886 to 1890, and Charles E. Brooks Feed Store from 1891 to 1895. Your Laura wasn't there very long - that building has had a lot of different businesses in it and it continues to house a wide variety of establishments -- since I've been here it has changed hands a lot. It doesn't appear from Carver's book that Mast and Fuller were doing business next to each other. Her business was on the south side of Michigan Avenue and he was on the north side so they were across the street from one another.
