He was born December 1, 1930 in Burlington, VT, the son of Lawrence M. Zeno and Alice (Estey) Mason. Larry served in the US Army from January 13, 1949 to March 26, 1953 where he served at Ft. Custer. Following his military service he remained in Battle Creek where he owned a Standard Gas Station and then was employed by Oliver Electric. He was later employed by General Motors BOC Division for 23 years, retiring in 1988. Larry is survived by wife of 27 years, Reva (Schuyler) Zeno, Battle Creek, MI; sons, Rick (Rose) Zeno, Ceresco, MI and Randy Zeno, Battle Creek, MI; daughter, Sharon (Steven) Smith, Battle Creek, MI; step-son, Jeffrey (Michelle) O'Brien, Plainwell, MI; step-daughter, Sharon Mayer, Osceola, IN; brother, Marvin Zeno, Bristol, VT; sister, Norma (Allen) Kimball, Bristol, VT; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and first! wife, Bette Heckman. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Zeno and brother, Burton Zeno. He enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing, bowling, traveling, and time with his family. He was a member of the Gull Lake United Methodist Church in Richland. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Thursday, December 28, 2006, 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2006, 1:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev. Steve Charnley of Gull Lake United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Hospice of Barry County or American Cancer Society.
