Age 83 Of Albion Passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at her daughter's home in Portage. She was born September 15, 1920 in Albion Township to Charles A. and Clara (Cuatt) Reichow. On June 16, 1946 she married Henry C. Bormann. He preceded her in death March 31, 1999. Leona was a life long resident of Albion and a secretary for Albion Public Schools for 24 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Friendship League, South Albion Women's Club, and Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. Leona enjoyed her family and socializing. Survivors include daughters, Jean VanLente of Cape Coral, FL, Kathy Montgomery of Battle Creek, Debra and Ed Halcomb of Portage; brother, James Reichow of Albion; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Preceding her in death was her husband. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, with Pastor James Waddell officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.! Visitation will be Saturday, July 10, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church Elevator Fund, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
