Butler, 98, of Albion, died Sunday, September 26, 1999, at Trillium Hospital in Albion. Mrs. Butler was born December 2, 1900, in Bryan, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary (Lewis) Bowlby. She married Justus Burns May 6, 1917, in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death August 1, 1948. She then married Charles Butler January 27, 1951, in Greenville. He preceded her in death January 11, 1953. Mrs. Butler came to this area from Ohio in 1909. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Vivian I. Deforest of Albion; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold W. Burns, February 28, 1999. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 2, at the Albion Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels, Inc., with the Rev. William Holbrook officiating.
