WOOD, were married 5 Sep 1843 in Battle Creek, MI. I'm seeking information on the family of Bethana WOOD. Does anyone have information on WOODs who lived in Battle Creek township in the 1840s? Would the Calhoun County Clerk marriage record have any additional information, such as the names of the witnesses, or parents, or where the bride and groom lived? I have a great deal of information on Lafayette's ancestors. In 1843 he may have been living with his mother's brother, Stephen VALENTINE (sometimes spelled VOLUNTINE or VOLENTINE), who lived in Calhoun county. Lafayette's parents lived in Chicago at the time.
