There was a TB hospital in Colorado in the early 1900's I believe it's Pueblo, CO. The 1st husband of my mother's half sister had to go there, and that's where he died. They had been living in Illinois. I am glad to see others researching the Howe line. This is the information I have on this family; Hannah Hennrietta Howe, b June 19, 1848 in Poughkeepsie, NY She came to MI with her parents, one brother and three sisters when she was six years old. When her husband went to war she supported herself by working at Parma for a widow who had purchased her father's homestead that had been her first home in MI. 1929 Nashville News She married James Harrison Davis Sr. on May 8, 1864,Charlotte, Eaton, MI. James was the first white child born in Kalamo twp on Aug 6, 1840. He died Mar 30, 1930 in Whitehall, MI Henrietta died on Sept 12, 1938 in Whitehall,Muskegan, Mi. Both are buried in the Oakhurst Cem, Whitehall, MI. I have a copy of her death certificate and it says her parents were William Howe and Hannah Roe. I went to Salt Lake to the geneolagy center and found the following info in the Records of the First and Second Reformed Dutch Church, Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, NY. On page 227 is the June 22, 1845 marriage of William Howe and Hannah Jane Roe, both of Poughkeepsie. note; neither of my church. Married in the parsonage by Rev A M Mann. On page 165 I found the birth record of Hannah Jane b. July 12, 1827 to John Roe and Hannah Jacocks. She was regestered on Oct 28, 1827. I have further info on the Davis family if anyone is interested. I can also send email copies of the above info. Kilpatrick Battle Creek Enquirer, Monday, August 19, 1991 Charles K. Kilpatrick, 75, of 100 S. Bedford Road, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 1991, in Doctor's Hospital, Jackson, where he had been a patient two weeks. He was born June 23, 1916, in Jackson. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and Argubright Business College. He had been employed as an accountant with the old Weston Biscuit Co. and later transferred to New York and California. He returned to Battle Creek in the 1960s, joining his father as an accountant with C.J. Kilpatrick & Associates in the Michigan Bank building. He remained there until he closed the business and retired around 1984. He was currently employed by Guardian Inc., where he was placed by the American Association of Retired Persons, of which he was a member. He was an avid sports fan, whose favorites were the Detroit Tigers and the University of Michigan Wolverines. His wife, the former Agnes Marie Evans, preceded him in death. Surviving are Alan K. Kilpatrick of Navato, Calif. and Charles K. Kilpatrick of Jackson; a granddaughter; and a sister, Jean K. Matz of Jackson. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Farley-Estes Funeral Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Robert G. Muirhead of the First Assembly of God officiating, assisted by a Fort Custer honor guard. Burial: Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.
