He lived in Pennfield Twp until his death around 1850 or so. I need birth and death years. If anyone knows who his parents were that would help immensely. He was married to Emmeline Bates at the time of his death. She then married the executor of his estate Isaac Pierce of Climax. I have alot of info tracing Royal forward to trade for any help. Royals children were James, Jennings, Myron, Amanda, Adelbert, and Frances (who was raised by Isaac Pierce as his own daughter). Thank you! 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ECox35 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.calhoun/4436/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have been researching the Howard family who lived in Albion from the mid 1800's through now (as far as I know). My main focus right now is the court battle over the estates of Henry Howard and his wife Adeline Milliman. It seems like there were many court filings between their son Stanton and his siblings beginning in 1911 and ending sometime around 1917. I am also looking for any information on Dr Meta Howard (Stanton's Sister). She was one of the first female MDs in Albion but ended up in the Michigan Asylum for the Insane and died there in 1930. Right now I am living overseas and am not able to go to Michigan so I am confined to what I can find online. If anyone has any information of any of these Howards and could share with me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Christy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have two ancestors that were buried there. The building is no longer there and I am not sure when it closed. A Juvenile home was built on the site in 1957. We went by there today and the young lady I talked to indicated she thought there used to be a cemetery down the hill (which is now a ball field!) 3. Richard Carver was born and raised in Marshall, Michigan (a few miles West of Albion) graduating from high school in 1937. He was very interested in history and graduated from Albion College with aa BA in history in 1950. He authored A History of Marshall and Marshall Memories a sequel to the first book. In 2001 Richard and his son, Raymond Carver, formed Marshall Memories to preserve historical items, photographs and documents from the 19th and 20th century Marshall. Raymond can be reached at 22325 B Drive South, Marshall, MI 49068. His phone number is 269.781.5668. With this Carver's family's interest in history in Calhoun County I would imagine that Raymond would share any information he may have on Carvers in this part of the county. This link http://www.marshallmich.com/orderbook.htm features the book and has pictures of Mr. Carver.
