    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: 20tee10 Surnames: HUDSON-MOREHOUSE-GRAHAM Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.calhoun/4469/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Absolutely shocked to learn that RAOGK is off-line and may not be back! Have almost always been able to find a volunteer to do research for me with results. A great loss to the genealogy community. Recently learned that the Willard Library after a 14-year project has digitized their local newspapers 1846-1915 whereby if you are at the library or have a library card from the library you can search each and every page of 200,000 pages. Looking for someone to search for an obit or death notice from 22 April 1853 for a Bradley P. Hudson. Bradley was born 28 April 1826 in New York. Son of Polydore Hudson first postmaster and Justice of the Peace in Battle Creek and Harriet G. Morehouse. Bradley married an Elizabeth Graham in Cass Cty, MI 5 Oct 1848. Elizabeth was only 21. I am hoping that the obit will give the names of her parents that will help with further research. Since Elizabeth was still a young woman in 1853, perhaps she remarried but not necessarily in Battle Creek. She might have returned to Ohio where she was born or even to Volinia, Cass Cty, MI where she and Bradley were living in the 1850 census. Bradley served in the Michigan legislature at the time of his death. His mother, Harriet, also died in 1853 as did his sister, Sarah....perhaps an epidemic? All are buried in the Dubois cemetery. Hope someone can find Bradley's obit for me. Thanks so much....Lora Hudson Treadwell Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. ross3324
    3. Hi, I have been trying to find out the origin of my gpa's first name of Dorr for years. I have a John Stewart who was widowed by Mary Hiscock in the 1820's in NY. He then migrated to Calhoun County. I saw today that an ancestor of Mary Hiscock named Seth Hiscock had a lot of Dorr's in their family tree. However, I am unable to access the info;rmation. Could someone with the Hiscock surname tell me if they know where the first name of Dorr came from? I am thinking maybe Dorset, England but am not sure. Please email me at ross3324@comcast.net Thanks, Sally
