Diana, Obviously someone does not want us to communicate outside this list I have been trying to reply to your message all day. Here's your answers: That area is about 50-50 orchards and residential. However our township has a limit on lot sizes (10 A.) in most areas. Sec 17 I believe encompasses part of the 10 A. limit and a portion of 5A. areas. There are quite a few old farm houses & barns left. Bainbridge has a population of 2900. It is bounded on the east by Biastock, South by Territorial Rd., north by North Branch Road, west by Park Rd. Actually Territorial runs in a NW direction towards Millburg and North Branch runs NE out of Millburg Kaiser rd is the only other public road in Sec 17, running E-W between Biastock 7 Park. There is Blue Creek (?) which runs at an angle through it. It is barely a stream. The area is pretty rolling countryside. I see your GGG's land off Park south of Kaiser rd. Yes the Brick School still stands, it is owned by Jollay Orchards now and is open to the public as a haunted house in the fall months. I believe they are going to be open May-Oct this year. I'm sure you could have a tour. It's a very picturesque building. I've seen it in photo competitions several times. They just recently restored the bell tower. I hope this helps you. Try to contact me at my address yetzkejm@qtm.net I don't understand why we're having problems communicating. It is the only way I can e-mail her. Re: Section 17 of Bainbridge Township Here are some basic things I would like to know. Is the area still mostly orchards or farms? Are there any old farm houses still standing? What is roughly the population? Are there any or many roadways that pass through? Are there waterways? If so, are they like canals or bigger and maybe more like rivers? Is the area hilly or mostly flat? What is the name of the road of the north border? Is the west side Park Road? Is the east side Biastock Road? Is the south side Territorial (Rd.)? My GG Grandfather, Jacob Macher, owned 50 acres on the central west side of the township until 1911. This is why I would like some info. on the area. I plan to visit the area sometime. Separately - Is the Brick School District #4 still standing on Friday Rd., Coloma, MI? If so, is it still a school in use today? Are visitors allowed? Tours? Thanks for your help. You can e-mail me privately rather than through the list.
