When I was in Berrien County a couple of years ago, I found Morton Shepards, (my Great Grandfather), death notice, on this it stated his mothers name was A(unreadable) G. Marble. Mortons father was Stephen R. Shepard. Morton died Nov. 5, 1905, he is buried at Penn Yen Cemetery. Any connection? Would love to find some info on the following: Pinnell (Not Pennell--that's an entirely different line) - Berrien Township. Hinchman-Berrien Township. I think Cyrus also owned land in Bainbridge Township at one time and later lived in Montcalm County, but died in Pipestone Township in Berrien. Martin - Three Oaks Willis - Berrien Township Marble - Three Oaks Groat - Berrien Township Many are buried in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Berrien Township.
