I am beginning to think that Alphus Levere Feltenberger and Estella Meb VanLiew are a figment of my imagination. They are the parents of my husband's grandfather Arthur Levere Feltenberger who was born in Bay City, Michigan and they are listed on his birth certificate. In a letter that grandpa wrote to grandma before they were married he said that Estella went to Three Oaks and divorced Alphus as that was where her parents - William VanLiew and Josephine Brooks VanLiew were living. We know that Josephine died in Galien in 1895 and William died in 1914 in Grand Rapids. Both are supposedly buried in Berrien Co. but I can't find out where. Also there is no record of the divorce anywhere and Estella remarried Fred House either in North Dakota or Washington as that is where we tracked her to. What a brick wall. Marcy in California
