Marge Y My ggggrandmother was Katherine DeTemple who married Gustave Koerber in Bainbridge Township. Her oldest daughter,Louise married Peter Arent. Her second daughter Mary married Frank C. Arent. Mary and Frank are my great grandparents. Peter and Frank were brothers. What are the neighbors names? Re the spelling: DeTemple has more variations than any other name in my lines. It was originally a French name probably spelled de Temple and changed to DeTample when the family was forced to migrate to Germany. I have a copy of John DeTample's will and it was handsigned as "John Detample" yet most of the probate papers spell in John De Temple. Better yet! the heir's receips are signed as 'John Detemple", "John De Temple", "John De Tample" and "John Detample." Go figure!! My neighbor is Jim Lull. he showed me handwritten tax receipts from 1850's showing the DeTemple name. I think it was his g-grandparents'. He is our Bainbridge township treasurer.
