There is a chapter of about 15 pages on Chickaming Township included in the book Berrien Bicentennial, edited by James T. Carney. It was published in 1976 by the Bicentennial Commission, Berrien County, Michigan, and printed by Tesar Printing Company, Stevensville, Michigan. There is not a specific section for Three Oaks, although there are separate subsections for Sawyer, Harbert and Union Pier.
