Penny, I have a John B. Martin marrying Elizabeth Ann Hinchman on 15 May 1850 in Berrien County. He was killed in the fall of 1862. As he was digging in a bank to make a mill-race, it caved in on him and he died shortly after they got him home near Three Oaks. They have seven children, five sons and two daughters. The sons all moved to the west coast. The two daughters were Mary Elizabeth Martin and Nellie M. R. Martin. Do any of these names appear in your records? Let me know.
