Dear list, I'm new to your list and wonder if any of you might have connections or research interests in one of my ancestors. I live in England, United Kingdom, and have established that one of my ancestors, Janey Williams (1878-1931) married a Reverend Edwyn Evans in the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota on 19th August 1912. After their marriage they took up residence at the Manse in Amenia, North Dakota, where Edwyn was the pastor or Minister of the Congregational Church. I have found the couple living in Amenia in the 1915 North Dakota Census. By 1920 they have moved to Minnesota and in 1930 they are living in Michigan. Janey dies in 1931 and Edwyn in 1945. They appear to have had no children. I think that Edwyn must have remarried and is buried at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Bay City, MI with his second wife Mary B. Browning (1878-1969) and her parents Charles H. Browning (1841-1923) and Mary Louise Browning (1847-1921). Janey is buried also at Elm Lawn Cemetery but in a separate plot. Edwyn was pastor at the First Congregational Church from 1929 - 1935. Are there any records of his time as minister at the church in particular any early photographs of the minister and his wife? Can you direct me to any online newspapers for the time that covered events in Bay City and perhaps detailing any information about the minister and his wife? Edwyn and Janey were both from Wales and arrived in New York in 1911 and 1912 respectively. I have their immigration records with details of the ships they arrived on etc. I'd also like to know if any obituaries were written for any of the individuals I have mentioned. I believe their dates of death / burial to be as follows:- Janey Evans (nee Williams) - 15th January 1931 Rev. Edwyn Evans - 10th January 1945 Mary B. Evans (nee Browning) - early November 1969 Living in the UK I'm familiar with the process of ordering birth, marriage and death certificates here but how does it work in USA. Can you pay the registrars by Paypal or similar as to raise money orders from here is v. pricey. Hope someone can point me in the right direction and as mentioned would love to hear from anyone with research interests around these people.
