I have just run across the death certificate for a probable relative, Simon Slachcikowski (Schlachikowski or Szlachikowski). He lived at 815 Michigan Ave in Bay City and died 18 Sept 1914. Can anyone tell me what cememtery would be considered the "Polish Cemetery"? Also, the undertaker is listed as F Wasielewski. Can anyone give me more information on where he might have worked? 2. One of my ancestors death certificate stated "Old Polish Cemetery" and I knew for a fact that they were buried in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery.? (St. Stan's)? Bay City Michigan.? I went to the web site:? http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/bay/ scroll down to cemetery listings & transcriptions, click on Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, click on Staint Stanislaus Cemetery Book index, click on the "S", there is a Slachcikowski, Szymon and a Slachcikowski Jozefa.? This tells you what page number they are on in the book.? Pages 43 - 45 are for the year 1914.? The spelling of the names could be wrong because a few of my ancestor's last name was spelled wrong.? I could not find anywere on this page what section they are buried in.? Quite a few years ago I went to the cemetery office and they let me look at this book.? I went back a few years later and they would not let me look at it.? It is possible if you call them they could tell you what section they are buried in.? That does not mean there will be a headstone.? My ancestor was in the book and it stated what section but I looked and looked and there no longer is a headstone.? I live in Bay County so if you find out what section they are buried in and would like a picture o! f the headstone (if any) I could do that for you.? The cemetery office is:? St. Stanislaus Cemetery and Mausoleum, 805 Ridge Road, Bay City MI? 48706; 989-893-2697. -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: MIBAY-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 27 Mar 2009 10:03 pm Subject: [MIBAY] Cemetery/funeral parlor help This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
