Michigan Deaths 1971-1996 Listing: died 8 December 1993 in Warren, Macomb County, Michigan. Spouse: Michigan Deaths 1971-1996 Listing: Andrew M. Twork, born 5 April 1995, died 21 December 1985 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan, residence Pinconning. Please Note: Michigan death certificates have an entry giving the name and address of the person who gives the information for the death certificate - usually a relative, sometimes a close friend. Therefore I would suggest getting the death certificate for Christina. I found neither Andrew nor Christina on the social security death index telling me that neither drew SS retirement. A possibility therefore, would be that he worked where they had their own retirement fund and did not pay into SS. That could be a government job or a teacher. Possibility others, but those are what come to mind. I would suggest getting his death certificate and see what it says about his occupation. ALSO - seems like there is another spelling of Twork. I tried Tvork, but nothing there. I can almost picture it and remember my Dad talking aboout people with this last name. They are probably on the 1930 census under another spelling of their name. Try checking the Detroit city directories and see what you find. Those are a good source of info on who lived there. If they married in Detroit, chances are they lived there for at least some time before moving to Bay County. William Wilson (Farmer)lived not too far from my Wilson family. Dad said they were not related. Was Harry born abt 1899? Would he have arrive in MI about 1922? Would his brother William still have been in Galt, Ontario? Did he have a sister named Jessie Cummings in Kirton, Scotland? Finding another member of the family on the 1930 census will possibly find Christina. Hope this helps.
