My great-grandfather was Lawrence born in Poland in 1845, married Lucy Gielda, emigrated in 1877. Stories say they came through PA to Beaver Twp. in Michigan. I know of siblings Michael, Antony and Petronella, and I suspect there are more. Lawrence' parents are listed as John (Jan or Johann) and Agnes Tomczak. Do you know if Tomczak's had relatives by the name of Glaza in the Bay City, MI area?
