Monitor is a township west of Bay City. I think the mailing address is Bay City. It's just north of Frankenlust, on the west side of the Saginaw river. The papers say he was born in Monitor, Michigan. I knew he lived in Bay City, so I checked census records, and found a Monitor listed in Bay County in 1880 (the only free census look-up). He was born in the 1850's. Does anyone know the history of this place? Does it still exist?
